The challenge

The challenge

At CogCo, we wanted to build our own survey and analysis platform that would allow people to share qualitative opinions on a large scale, and run quantitative analysis on the results. I worked as part of a small team of designers and one developer to build this product from 0-1.

The result

A product built for desktop and mobile that has now been used by UNDP and other organisations to survey thousands of people across multiple countries and industries.

The approach

Following initial discovery work which involved interviews with employers and employees, the insights from which were used to create 6 personas, I ran an ideation workshop to brainstorm features relevant to each persona’s goals, using the MoSCoW method to prioritise which features to take forward into design.

The design phase began with sketching flows and thinking about the journey users would take through the app, with multiple discussions and iterations before agreeing on the flow to begin prototyping.

I then moved into Figma to build the high fidelity prototype and the design system, creating desktop and mobile screens.

Following user testing, I made updates to the prototype before handing the finalised designs over to a developer. The development process was iterative as I was able to play around with the product on a staging site and request changes before the full launch.
